MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING COLLEGE FOOTBALL AT YANKEE STADIUM

On Monday, July 20, at 4:00 p.m., the New York Yankees will hold a press conference at Yankee Stadium in the press conference room on the Service Level to announce an upcoming college football event at Yankee Stadium.

Media members wishing to attend the press conference with a daily credential must submit their request online at https://credentials.mlb.com by noon on Monday, July 20. Please note that the preceding Web address is case sensitive. The online application is the only acceptable method for requesting 2009 single-game regular season media credentials for games played and events held at Yankee Stadium. Applications must be completed by a Sports Editor or Sports Director.

Media outlets requesting credentials are required to have an affiliate identification number before initiating the online process. Individuals who have previously applied on behalf of their media outlet to cover a Major League Baseball jewel event (such as the 2009 World Baseball Classic, the All-Star Game or any postseason series) have received such a number. All media outlets that have not previously applied online for media credentials through Major League Baseball or the New York Yankees must contact the New York Yankees Media Relations Department at (718) 579-4460 to receive their affiliate identification number
